Description: Thousands of families and unaccompanied children are fleeing violence in Mexico, Central America and South America. Fearing for their safety, they have sought refuge in the United States even as the current Administration has sought to curb protections for refugees. Many have asked for asylum at the border. Many have been released from immigration custody and placed in removal proceedings in immigration courts in San Francisco and other cities.
This hour and a half training will cover the basics of asylum law and removal defense. We provide training materials and share essential resources for any pro bono attorney taking on these cases.
RSVPs for the current training are now closed.
